A Short Story: Magnificent Filth

A writer’s first and best duty is to rewrite the world surrounding him.  Is it not? 

If you’re reading this, I didn’t write it.  What I mean is:  Someone else must’ve written it down.  In all likelihood I, Vincent Elton Ellington, told the story aloud to someone who’s taken the liberty to record it, here, so you must bear in mind that distortions and untruths should be credited to that writer.  Not to me.
