David Fincher told me that when the Operation Latte Thunder scene was first shot, it didn’t work. The huge globe that appears to have the Geffen logo on it, when it rolled from its pedestal it was so lightweight that it floated over the fountains and pools below. It had to be reshot with a heavier ball and massive sound effects to imply greater tonnage.
Now we see huge lightweight balls bouncing around London.
Maybe it’s a homage to The Prisoner?
How does it feel to predict the future?
Heavier balls fix everything.
Love those ancient special effects in The Prisoner. Ray Harryhausen where are you?
