Despite this past week’s Hindsight Story Night being the best on record… it wasn’t recorded. Well, the visuals were recorded, but the new mike failed us. Instead of brilliant stories, all you can hear is a deep hum. This will all be fixed for Hindsight Story Night on Sept. 26th, but it means the blazing, brilliant stuff you presented on the 12th won’t get posted.

The combination of an excellent audience and bold storytellers has ramped up everyone’s skill at a dazzling speed. The best kind of gentle competition and enabling is coaxing writers to bring work that is increasingly more funny, dramatic, and tragic.

If you’d like another shot at recording your story from the 12th—maybe with some revisions—you’ll have first shot to do so on the 26th. All writers from the botched 12th event will get first shot on the 26th.

The good news is that Randy got us some great stories from the New York event. I’ll be posting those over the next couple weeks.

Every story is an experiment. Every event is an experiment. No fail doesn’t teach us something. I feel enormously proud of how good you people are getting.
