I love MJ.

Expand full comment

He's one of my favorite singers. I have been listening to MJ since I was 5. My dad had this huge studio and he'd play the Thriller record and I'd be walking around dancing lol

MJ had bangers throughout his whole career.

I was 9 when Thriller came out and MJ was always on the radio cuz it was Motown before that. Janet was on Good Times. Not sure where Toya was tho lol

Western Oregon in Monmouth. You and Monica came down for an event that is still considered legendary. I also reviewed your books for WW and the O. ❤️ Still a fan.

How wonderful to hear from you. Yours was about the only review I read. You wrote that the sensitive narrator would wind up as a grease stain on the basement floor. But it was a very nice review. Thank you!

Just checked to see if my university has a similar sort of scholarship and, long story short, it does not. You wouldn’t by any chance have Martin Amis’ contact information would you, Chuck?

Way to go Courtnee! To you too Chuck, for helping. And kudos to the managers also, nice to see them not messing about.

How are these scholarships judged? Stories submitted by candidates? Or are other criteria involved as well? Just curious :)

A scholarship too? For decades? Oh c’mon Chuck, you’re really asking to be cloned now.

May the Writing Gods bless the day you started this Substack.

Odd truth: I'd established the scholarship in my father's name. He'd recently been killed. But the university said "Who's Fred Palahniuk?" and shortened the official name.
