Do you know what “continuity photos” were?
Until recently, as a film was being shot someone had to snap frequent Polaroid pictures. These recorded small details—the knot of a necktie, the position of a glass on a table, whether the curtains were open—so such things would be consistent from shot to shot. Near the end of a film shoot the stack of continuity photos would be epically tall.
This one reminds me of such a photo, but from a very low budget slasher film. The sofa fabric makes me gag. And that hand that just hangs there!
And what is she? A hundred years old?!
This one is—wait for it—a piece of cake.
