Hey Chuck I just want to say thank you for all that you do to give back to writers. I think your book has taught me enough to save my manuscript. Agents kept saying they loved my concept but not my voice. Being working class in the Midwest makes it harder to navigate mentorship. But your book feels like the mentorship I needed. Thank you!
To my mind I'm giving back to my teachers. That includes the hypnotist I'm seeing, as well the used-car salesman who taught me how to manipulate car buyers while I was writing 'Rant.'
Ouch! If you sent it via ICM or CAA, not many people have gone back to the office. If you sent it via the closed offices of Donadio & Olson, they're gone. Thank you, but I appreciate the gesture.
A while back I received a series of not-pleasant packages, probably from the same person, but since then I've tried to dissuade people from sending me anything.
I still have the cardboard boxes you sent when I won the serial killer contest, the one when you responded to a question of mine about metaphor, and I can't remember how I got the third box. Maybe it was Mom's puzzles. I'm keeping them because they have your name on them.
Love that this image is the part of the face we don't usually get to see in the art. Confused about the Monstera deliciosas... I'll have to just go read the book again. Yay!

What was the motivation to see the hypnotist? Was it for a specific problem, like drinking, or was it a, let's see what this is like, kinda thing?
I still have the beaded necklace you made and sent me years ago and it hangs over my bed like a protector 🩵
Yes, of course! Thanks so much for sending it. You have no idea how happy that has made me. Looking forward to reading it!
That’s a real jaw-dropping tattoo!
(I’m so sorry -- I had to.)
Hey Chuck! Did you receive the gift I sent to your agent? We went to see you in Pittsburgh but arrived too late to hand it to you. Thanks.

I sent it to Simon and Schuster. It’s no big deal. It was a box of rocks painted cornflower blue and the Lullaby bird painted underneath the rocks.
You’re the best, Chuck. That’s all.

Me too! They are so great!
That’s my tattoo! Also have a fight club tattoo.
Thank you Chuck for making my day after a pretty shitty Night Shift ❤️
Perfect timing
.... what should my next Palahniuk tattoo be?
You’ve got me thinking about what my first one should be! lol
