The comment I was trying to get out about Millcreek Park—- Youngstown is the type of place where writers, and well-known ones— can hide out— no one will really make a big deal about you. They just let you be. So, you could go write and loose yourself in the beauty of Millcreek Park (designed by the same team that created Central Park in NY. It’s beautiful—- and very hobbit like. So many trails. It’s really the gem of the city.
I feel better I got that out. I was busy helping to set up things and make sure people were being welcomed. I’m really proud of the turnout and how many people read. Some good quality readers.

I really am so proud at the community that is forming through Chuck— this is beyond my wildest dreams. I feel bad taking up some of the feed— hope I haven’t annoyed anyone! Seriously, y’all are top notch. To have so many writerly friends really is incredible. If someone would have told me, the night after I saw “Fight Club” in the theater that this is where I would be years later— I’d tell them to get off my chain! I’m still in disbelief this all happened and that Chuck is so kind to teach his writing style. I also now know what a gerund is. I missed a lot of school due to bullying. I mean— ALOT. It’s also taken a great deal of courage to get past being in the spotlight at my current size. It’s almost paralyzing. But, I wanted to do this for the area and beyond. I know how important it is to have community and people that push you to be better, where you might not have had encouragement. I just wanna share the sunshine! And Sassy wants all the pets!!
