I'll be reading a new piece tonight called "Stainless Steel Ride." It's an homage of sorts to Peter Christopher's short story "Hunger" featured in "Campfires of the Dead and the Living." The story's structure was my guide—a great learning experience. Thank you for recommending his work.
I broke the camera but I get to read twice next time.....I need to work on listening to Randy better lmfao but he's sooooo patient with me. If he ever has a kid, he's gonna make the very best Dad lol.
Randy, don't forget to add Gilligan's Island to your watchlist. I credit that TV show for helping me develop problem solving skills even though they never solved their #1 problem. It's just great feel good television and all these years later there still isn't anything like it.
I was there!! Churchill Tavern's very nice. Lot's of space and you can hear the stories thanks to a mike. I hope Chuck stops by this place on his book tour. New Yorkers are working hard on their stories...
Chuck -- random question No. 1, 247: What are some of the most disturbing books that you’ve read?
Good question. I'd like to know too. When you're Chuck, do you even get disturbed anymore?
I reckon that reading enough of those animal detective stories that were mentioned not long ago might break a man.
Do you remember why Chuck disliked all those cozy mystery novels he read?
A combination of banality and Anglophile Snuff murder-porn, if I remember correctly.

Thank you Steve!
Thank you chuck! First story begins to read at 6:30pm EST
On my fucking way finally!
Randy is a machine. Smashing one great story after another and also organising NY Story Night. Have a wonderful night, pal.
You are a sweet one aren’t y’a Benji ❤️ Appreciate the kind words 🙏🏼
I'm showing off what I learned from Chelsea Cain tonight................I'll be posting same story in a Call for Stories very soon.
Does Chelsea Cain run workshops too?
She got a Zoom thing going. I HIGHLY recommend it!
