Superb stone handiwork! The lanterns have a nice 3-D glasses look (conjuring Russ Tamblyn or Spider Jerusalem?). Can’t help but think of yet another recent Rogan guest who has experience in construction (and, more notably, psychedelics), Rick Doblin. While a student in Florida I got to hang out in the house he let other students rent, one which he had a hand in building himself. His house featured a tree that the house was built around. Something maybe to consider if you plan to add wings to the existing structure?
Since this is a halloween post I thought I would try to stay sort of on subject with a "spooky" question.
I was reading your book and you say a phrase "may one of your many, many graves always be inside of my head" I was wondering what you meant by it. There are a lot of coffins and graves (usually in reference to vampires) in recent pop culture and probably going back all the way to Snow White, but I was wondering if your reference was of a similar nature. I know that the Skull and Bones society has a "coffin" ceremony as well that I think captures the feeling of recent pop culture references (and snow white). Here is a link that mentions it:

I know secret societies teach people things without spelling it out through a series of dramatic moments which sometime come in the form of a play or opera. In order to advance through the stages you must "learn" what needs to be learned then show you understand it without describing it out loud. (Or at least that's my understanding of it since no one has ever actually described it to me that way, I just sort of picked it up)
I feel more like a Robert Langdon though whose character was based upon one of my favorite teachers Joseph Campbel. Langdon and Campbel have no fear of talking about the deeper meaning out loud any more than Socrates would fear talking about it out loud.
Their fear is the same as mine which is that talking about it out loud would be so far above someone's understanding that it would be completely impossible to have an intelligent conversation with them. Sort of like having a conversation with an ape. You can communicate but it's not all that stimulating and they might ask you why you aren't eating more bananas or something completely unimportant.
Not to be condescending to normal people either though, I just find they tend to have an arrogance about their way of thinking that can leave a bad taste in my mouth. Some normal people are actually quite refreshing in their simplicity and open mindedness.
Anyways if you have anything to say about the graves part feel free to initiate me into a higher understanding or speak about it plainly. Whichever you prefer, I enjoy both ways and they both have their pluses and minuses.
