I believe someone intentionally once but a bunch of typos on a flyer for their missing cat to make sure it would stand out and get people to notice the flyers. Work smarter, not harder.
Reminds me of what a P.R. guy I knew once said: It's risky but if you purposely put a typo in the opening sentence of a press release, editors would spot it and scoff and read all the way through to see how many typos there were - which was how to get them to read the hole thing (haha, whole).
Haha. One that I found out I was guilty of late in life was “make ends meet”. I always thought it was “make ends meat.” Maybe it’s because I live in a BBQ town and we eat burnt ends here. No idea. I felt pretty stupid though lol.
A story from a tech writer friend goes that when they started to use spellcheckers, they'd still miss typos, like, "Copy the file to the C:\pubes directory," when they meant "pubs directory."
It's the night before my bday and I'm a Rockstar for one night only so I hope to Gawd there's some kind of action in my future even if it's forsable.............on my part
Random question, but was Fight Club at all inspired by the Oklahoma City Bombings and/or The Turner Diaries? Or was it another one of your unfortunate coincidences like the filming of Survivor and 9/11?
You talking to me?????????
I just wanted to say hi, so hi....

By working dumber.
Lazy people make everything work more efficiently.
It allows them to be lazy, which I think is ultimately the endgame of success -- the privilege of free time.
You know, I’d like to say that the “but” typo in my above comment was some kind of meta joke, but no. I was foiled by autocorrect.
And hear I was thinking it was ownly language prose who get lured into that. ;)
For sure, no one had to forse me to get to the end. I was actually a little disappointed the sharp uptick in their literacy rate.
Happy belated birthday!!

Don't know why I never touched that. Sounds like something right up my Ali. 8=) Still disappointed in myself that I couldn't make it through Ulysses.

Forsable Future sounds sounds kinda kinky don't it.......
I didn't even catch that one! My brain overcorrected what my eyes were seeing haha.
Were they working on something for you, maybe a gold plated Barret 50 cal?
A story told through gun store flyers...

I had to learn about burnt ends from watching Guy Fieri.
Or maybe those were bunt ends??
You know, I really wonder what that guy is like to party with. He kinda gives off Billy Mays vibes.
