That is a cool picture. That looks like a banksy. I will say it's harder to write if you have gotten a large amount of head trauma recently. You know not the special kind that makes you a savant but the normal kinda that just gives you a concussion.
Hey Chuck, got a question for you. It's a good one. When a student is reading work during a workshop and everyone is following along with their copy, are the jokes or surprises any less effective because people can read ahead or see them coming?
As someone at the workshop, I'd say: I don't think so. But laughs and surprised gasps happen less at workshop. But What makes laughs less occurring is the mood everybody is in: everybody is listening and trying to help make the story work, which ends up feeling different than listening as a reader, for fun. But that's just me, other people might feel different
Gotcha. That makes absolute sense to me. I've noticed that for the Story Nights. People are more relaxed and just focus on enjoying things. But during a workshop, I imagine people are focused on trying to improve.
