She does. Thank you Kerri. I want to come in April if not for my last chance to see Maegan (read) in who knows how long. That's the only part of this that sucks. The ONLY thing that dragged her away from her children was Chuck Palahniuk's Story Nights. Fuck, I wouldn't trade time with my kids for nothing lololol!
Maegan is just special because she was the first woman I opened up to after my imprisonment...and she quickly became a bestie without having met in person. She knows more about me than anyone on this planet and yet she still wants more??? I don't get it....
Chuck, it has been an absolute honor to host Midwest Story Night and bring together some fabulous people at various levels of writing. From my heart— I want all of them to know how much it meant to watch each one of them bare their souls on the stage. They pushed themselves to Mach 10, “doing and not thinking.”
Meeting readers/followers of your work changes the direction of my life. I now see that I can do even more despite the personally set limitations of my own body. I am more than my shell and will believe in myself more than I ever have. Thank you and all those that came to Midwest Story Night.
To be given a Katherine Dunn book by you as my reward is like finally graduating from college— and earning the diploma I never could in real life. I will cherish it with every word I read and continue my own writing without as many stops as there used to be. Thank you for the raise up. I am there for you for the next level of shenanigans. You can count on me, Sir.
Thank you everyone that participated in each of the 3 story night locations— those videos made me feel like I was right there rooting you all on!! You’re all different people now— keep going! Keep writing. Keep doing what you never thought you could do. I’m gonna be the first that says—- “I believe in you— here’s the pen and paper— do it.” Even take my own advice for a change.
Also— real quick— I’m sorry if I have ever been annoying to all of yah on Substack. This has just been a magnificent dream of mine and I’m so grateful for the support from everyone here. Thank you. Everyone of you. 😇
Fabulous!
Kerri deserves it! She worked her butt off for us Midwesterners! And we love her!

That's a great gift for Kerri. Totally deserves it for all her effort. Make sure to include feet pics in the book. She likes those too.

Yaaass!! Glad to see this! Kerri did so much not only to facilitate but to make it a special occasion each time. Forever in her debt. . .
Oh, man…it would have been nothing if all of yah didn’t show up. I was happy if I had 3 readers. Thank you Susan for coming back each time. ♥️
