Brian Evenson is such a good get! His short story collection "good night, sleep tight" is currently my pre-bed read.
I MAY actually have a story for this. Hope it's done on time, but if not I'm sure there'll be winter anthologies open to it next year! I'll try to make it a fun read. 😊
Mine’s finished, but I’m gonna chew on it until Monday. If you need any soundtrack for your vinyl recordings, please keep me in mind. I’ve been a multi-instrumental recording artist since the early 90s, and I went to school for audio engineering and production.
Sadly, a friend of mine -- a writer -- had a psychotic break and I was called in to sit with him until he could be committed. He's among the most levelheaded people I know so this left his wife and family weeping. He's like an entirely different person. A Christmas I won't forget.
I wasn't able to get my mom anything. However, her birthday is January 2nd, and I plan on getting her something for her bday. She's still doing puzzles! The last one she did was a white tiger and it was shaped like the head. Pretty cool.
Sorry to hear about your friend though. Life is hard, especially if you're a writer.
When I was a kid, my dad had The Headless Horseman on vinyl and it was our tradition to on Halloween, after trick-or-treating and Burger King in the next town over, come back home and sit in the dark and listen to it. My dad would be sitting in his rocking chair while my sister and I huddled up nearby on the hardwood floor. The creaking floor from Dad's rocker plus the pops and crackles in the record made the story all the more scarier. Plus the lights were out! Complete and total darkness! Years later I had to have it, but vinyl was out at the time. I hunted it down and finally found it online: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fi5BJqf6e1k&t=14s
My little boys are old enough now, it's time to rekindle the tradition!
Ghost stories are hard! Is it an addiction metaphor? Is it how trauma lingers? Is it mental illness? Food poisoning? Maybe just a ghost? Maybe just a ghost who wants to get freaky with you? Maybe just a ghost who wants to get you addicted to mental illness by food poisoning and getting freaky with you?
Proofreading now...

I did the best I could. Its an honor to have participated, if nothing else. :)
Vinyl would be pretty nifty, particular with cool album art.
A collection of spooky Christmas stories on vinyl would be incredible.
I gave it my best shot and had a ton of fun writing my story. Fingers crossed, and good luck to all. 🤞
Hi Chuck
would the publisher consider additonal bonus short stories for the kindle version. open it up for more writers. just a thought.
I will float that idea to them.
An Xmas album of stories on wax would be very cool. Been thinking about buying a proper mic anyway.
I dont know if mineses is horror. More like a soap opera with an involuntary surgical procedure. I might have read too much Amy Hempel and Carver.

Did you have a nice Christmas, Chuck? I bet you can decorate the fuck out of a Christmas tree.

I hope your mom got a good gift. A puzzle?
Thats sad.
I hope he's okay.

Congrats, Brian.
I submitted my story to the horror slush pile. Good luck to everyone. Thank you for the opportunity Chuck.
Just submitted! Fingers crossed. Happy New Year, friends!
