I think I heard someone (maybe Chuck) say that on the heels of Fight Club publishers received a number of "female Fight Club" book proposals. Maybe now it's finally time lol

"... the next haymaker slammed Rita's lip, the perfect pounds-per-square-inch to split the taut skin and spray the dank basement onlookers with a hot, milky jet of high-pressure collagen..."

They break their faces and they get reconstructive surgeries - new faces, rebirths, every two months. In this city, there is a million women, each with a million lives lived.

Oh my god. Can this actually be written please?? I think plastic surgery/Botox/etc is more accessible and common than ever and this (and many other angles) would be so poignant. My little sister is 24 and I’d say +50% of her friends are getting “preventative Botox” already… 🤌🏼

The way the real housewives get human fat to render into soap is just them extracting it from each other with a meat injector.

Thanks for the shoutout! My soul left my body as I watched this important cultural moment last night...

Hey Chuck, I wanted your thoughts on Idaho. I don't get easily obsessed with stories anymore. The last one was Idaho, I was following it closely when they caught Joseph Duncan before they could shut down his website I went to it...........for only a brief while because that guy was sick. To me, that story is the most heartbreaking story and to me, I think he was probably the worst of all those I've read about. I think this is Bundy level shit and then I think no he's better because we are in 2022? And still no real leads? It's killing me.......

You lost me. Is "Idaho" a story, or are you referring to the quadruple murder in Moscow?

Oh dear. I just did a wiki. What a monster. Reminds me of our local Wesley Allan Dodd who finally got pinched while dragging a victim out of the old downtown movie house.

Why do so many serial killers have a tie to Tacoma???

Dunno, The same reason the suicide rate is high there???? Shasta Groene did a special describing the whole ordeal she survived. I couldn't even imagine. And all that wasn't his first crimes either

The Quadruple murder of course......

This unlocked a memory for me. Five or six years ago, I dressed up as the Narrator — black eye, and blood-specked button-down shirt — and went to this Halloween party at some club. My makeup may have looked a little too real because some of the men I encountered would avoid looking at my fake black eye when we spoke and the women I spoke with who were unsure about my costume asked me if I was okay .

When she was a waitress in NYC, Amy Sedaris hired a make-up artist to put "bruises" and abrasions on her face before work. She wrote an essay about how men tended to ignore her "Injuries" but tipped huge sums. While woman sought to comfort her and offered help.

Wow I hadn’t heard of this “experiment.” That’s wild. Thanks for sharing. That’d be a f*cked up way to get more tips, but sounds like a provocative short story in the making. Wonder how that’d read, though. Seems a bit “Choke”-esque, but might be a bit much considering the recent DV incident spike… hmm.
